What a fantastic day we had at school to celebrate World Book Day.

So many wonderful activities were enjoyed.

 It was a joy to see all the children who had either dressed up as their favourite book character, or brought in their favourite book to share with others. In Assembly, we talked about ‘Reading for Pleasure’ and we heard from some children and adults about their favourite books, and where they like to read.

There was a World Book day draw along with Doncaster Stories and some special World Book Day biscuits at lunchtime kindly baked by Mrs Jones.

We also held our Book Fair which was brilliantly supported by our children and their grown-ups and raised over £650 to spend on more books for our School Library.
